62MM GRID SYSTEM COMPATIBILITY

Built on the Same Dimensions.

modulstand frames are built on the 62mm profile standard — 62mm profile width, 31mm hole diameter, 62mm center-to-center hole spacing, and frame sizes in exact multiples of 62mm. Our connectors are fully interchangeable with existing 62mm system hardware. Verify compatibility with your own inventory before you buy.

The Three Dimensions That Define the 62mm Grid

Every frame, connector, and reinforcement in the 62mm ecosystem is built around three precisely controlled measurements.

31mm

Hole Diameter

Every connection point on a 62mm profile frame uses a precisely machined 31mm diameter hole. This universal dimension ensures that connectors seat correctly across any manufacturer following the same specification.

62mm

Center-to-Center Distance

The distance between the center of any two adjacent holes is exactly 62mm. This is the grid that gives the system its name — and it’s what makes every frame, every connector, and every accessory interchangeable.

62 × N

Frame Size Rule

All frame dimensions are exact multiples of 62mm. A 496mm side is 62×8. A 992mm side is 62×16. A 2480mm side is 62×40. This mathematical precision is what allows frames from different manufacturers to align perfectly.

Material advantage: modulstand uses 6063-T6 aluminum with full anodized surface treatment. T6 heat treatment provides higher yield strength and hardness than T5. The anodized layer creates a smooth, corrosion-resistant surface that looks more professional and lasts longer than bare aluminum.

Complete Connector & Reinforcement System

Our connectors and reinforcements are fully interchangeable with existing 62mm system hardware. Test it yourself with our free sample kit.

M26 Frame Connector

The primary structural connection. The M26 bolt passes through the 31mm holes to lock two frames together with precision alignment. This is the most frequently used component in any 62mm system build.

Reinforcement System (5 Types)

Installed at the top or bottom of frame joints for structural rigidity. All reinforcements use M8 fasteners.

Baseplate Connector

M8 fastener secures frames to weighted baseplates for freestanding structures. Compatible with standard 62mm system baseplates.

How to Verify Compatibility Yourself

We don’t ask you to take our word for it. Order a free sample kit and run these tests with your own inventory.

01

Connect Frames

Use the M26 connector to bolt a modulstand frame directly to one of your existing 62mm frames. The bolt should pass through both 31mm holes smoothly and tighten with no play.

02

Check Alignment

With two frames connected, verify that the surfaces are perfectly flush. Run your finger across the joint — there should be no step, no offset, no gap between frames.

03

Test SEG Fabric

Install a piece of SEG fabric across the joint between a modulstand frame and your existing frame. The silicon edge should seat continuously through the channel with no interruption at the transition point.

04

Build a Corner

Use one modulstand frame and one existing frame to build a 90° corner. Install a reinforcement bracket. Push gently from multiple angles to confirm structural stability. The connection should feel identical to your existing setup.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. modulstand frames use the same 31mm hole diameter and 62mm center-to-center distance as other 62mm profile systems. Our M26 connectors are interchangeable — they pass through both frame types without any modification or adapter. This has been verified through real-world testing by professional exhibit builders who mix modulstand frames with their existing inventory.
The 62mm profile standard refers to a widely used specification for modular exhibit frames. It defines three key parameters: 31mm hole diameter, 62mm center-to-center hole spacing, and frame dimensions that are exact multiples of 62mm (for example, 496mm = 62×8, 992mm = 62×16). The “62” refers to two things: the profile width (62mm square cross-section) and the hole-to-hole center distance (62mm). Any manufacturer building to these specifications produces frames with interchangeable dimensions and connection points.
6063-T6 aluminum alloy with full anodized surface treatment. The T6 temper provides higher yield strength and hardness compared to T5. The anodized layer creates a smooth, uniform, corrosion-resistant surface. Most standard 62mm frames on the market use bare (non-anodized) 6063 aluminum.
No special connectors needed. modulstand uses M26 frame-to-frame connectors and M8 reinforcement fasteners that are interchangeable with existing 62mm system hardware. If you already have connectors, they will work with modulstand frames. You can also purchase our connectors separately at a competitive price.
Yes. The SEG channel profile on modulstand frames follows the same specification. Your existing silicon-edge graphics will seat correctly in our frames, including across joints between modulstand and other 62mm system frames.
Request our free sample kit. We ship 2-3 frames plus connectors and reinforcements. You pay only shipping. When the samples arrive, follow our 4-step test protocol: connect frames, check alignment, test SEG fabric, and build a corner. Most customers complete testing in under 30 minutes.
All standard sizes based on the 62mm profile. Frame dimensions are always exact multiples of 62mm. Common sizes include 496×496 (62×8), 496×1984, 496×2480, 992×2480, and 992×2976mm. Custom sizes are available on request — any dimension that is a multiple of 62mm can be produced.
Our frames are manufactured in a dedicated facility with over 10 years of experience in aluminum extrusion and exhibit frame production. Every frame undergoes quality inspection including dimensional verification and surface finish checks before shipping.
